About Us
We are a growing organization that promotes the Filipino culture among students, while having fun at the same time. ANYONE can be a part of AFS, as long as you are willing to make new friends and have a great time. AFS is not only considered an organization, but a FAMILY. Our general body meetings are held biweekly on Wednesdays at 5 PM in Fall and Spring. Check our our social media below for more updates: Facebook.com/AFSatUSF Instagram.com/AFSatUSF Twitter.com/AFSatUSF Alumni can attest that they have made long lasting friendship through AFS. Members come together, for meetings, social activities, intramural sports, and Filipino community events. The members of AFS have also organized themselves to address the issues and concerns that affect them both on and off campus. AFS exists to encourage academic achievement to promote social interaction and to raise cultural, political, and community awareness among its members and also to the outside community. The new concept was made to bring a more family-oriented aspect to the team as well as help give the team a more clear identity. It is a non-audition urban dance team, and is mainly known for competing in Def Talent Jam in Gainesville, Florida during the Fall, and PhilFest Revolution in Tampa, Florida during the Spring
