What is SOLIS?
The Student Organizations of Library and Information Science (SOLIS) are the combined student chapters of the American Library Association (ALA) and the Special Libraries Association (SLA). Our mission is to provide a community for students currently enrolled in USF's Master's of Library and Information Science program. However, all USF students, alumni, and faculty are welcome. We encourage anyone with an interest in libraries to join, regardless of their academic major. SOLIS is a forum for the exchange of ideas and information related to the profession of librarianship. We hope to provide members with networking opportunities, skill development, and the relationships needed to have a lasting impact on the library profession.
