The clinics listed below have been identified as serving a large Spanish-speaking populations. They are student-run and therefore positions are first-come, first-serve.
Managed by the Morsani College of Medicine Muslim Student Doctor Association (MSDA). This clinic serves the uninsured/underinsured population of New Tampa and Temple Terrace. Sign-ups occur monthly.
A specialized clinic of Tampa Bay Street Medicine aimed at providing care for the refugee population of Tampa. Sign-ups occur monthly and translation services are available if additional assistance is needed.
A faculty-student initiative sponsored by the Morsani College of Medicine, BRIDGE offers free medical care to the uninsured/underinsured populations of Tampa. Undergraduate students currently serve as PRN interpreters, however this remains a great opportunity to practice establishing rapport with patients. Sign-ups occur on a monthly basis.
These opportunities are offered solely to medical Spanish members. They consist of a variety of community outreach events, including educational presentations and health fairs as well as international language exchanges for practice.
