Volunteering

DIG students participate in a variety of service initiatives. Current opportunities with sign ups are posted here. Contact the Co-President of Service (Nicholas Chin, nchin3@usf.edu) and Volunteer Coordinator (Isoo Yoon, isooy@usf.edu) with any questions.

Medical students primarily obtain research projects through 1) Applying for faculty and resident-initiated projects, listed here, and 2) Connecting with peers to collaborate on student-initiated projects, listed here.

Regular DIG Research Meetings are held to brainstorm and develop project ideas.

Students may sign up to have a resident or medical student mentor and/or to be a mentor to a more junior student. Contact Resident Liaison, Gabriela Pinero-Crespo (gpinerocrespo@usf.edu) for more information.
