About Us

The project for Student Steel Bridge Competition involves designing, fabricating, and building a model steel bridge based off a real-world example. This project will give all students the chance to learn the fundamentals of structural engineering outside of a classroom setting and give them hands on experience working with structural materials and tools commonly used in the construction industry. This project will also teach them how to collaborate with peers, and the process of creating a design based off of a set of given parameters. This project involves students problem-solving real-world scenarios in which they other wise might not be able to afford.
