Senior Academic Advisor I
Steven has been a part of the advising community at USF St. Petersburg since October 2020 and is a proud USF St. Petersburg alum. He also earned his M.Ed. in Leadership in Higher Education from the University of Washington and is currently pursuing his PhD in Higher Education Administration at USF. His focus while in his PhD is first-year retention, persistence, and student success.
In his role, he serves students not only through academic advising, but also as a Health Professions advisor, supporting those exploring pathways into healthcare careers.
Outside of work, Steven enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, exploring national parks, and maing memories with his cats. One of his proudest accomplishments was summiting the second tallest peak in the United States, and he has also had the opportunity to be published in academic journals. Most recently, he enjoyed traveling to Japan, which added another memorable adventure to his growing list of experiences, and will attempt to summit Mt. Whitney in September 2026.
