SOS Kickoff & Reflection (October – Zero Hunger):

Join us for the October Stampede of Service (SOS) Kickoff & Reflection as we explore United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger! This interactive session combines reflection and learning, welcoming students who volunteered last month to share their experiences while also introducing this month’s focus on hunger and food insecurity. Together, we’ll engage in a fun icebreaker, participate in a hands-on activity, and highlight upcoming service opportunities that make a real impact. Come connect your passions to global goals, celebrate service, and be inspired to continue your journey of creating positive change!

By participating in this session:

Students will be able to explain the importance of United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger and identify how it connects to local and global issues of food insecurity.

Students will reflect on and articulate how their recent service experiences contributed to community needs while developing transferable career competencies such as teamwork, problem-solving, and communication.

Students will engage in activities that strengthen their understanding of hunger-related challenges and identify at least one upcoming service opportunity to continue making an impact.
