Nutrition Education Volunteering
Do you like working with kids? Interested in gardening and sustainability? Enthusiastic about nutrition or culinary arts? The WellFed Community is looking for extra hands for a weekly garden to table education program aimed at improving food literacy in the youth of Ybor City. With your help, kids will learn about what it takes to grow and prepare nutritious and fulfilling meals for themselves and their families. -Meet every Tuesday at 2:30 PM at the Ybor St. Community Garden (2924 Ybor St, Tampa, FL, 33605) -Park along Ybor St., and be careful not to block driveways or impede traffic -Wear closed toed shoes and dress for weather (may need hat, sunscreen, bug spray) -Bring water Contact Angela Atta-Armah (Attaarmaha@usf.edu) with any questions that you may have.

Mort Park Food Pantry Volunteering
These volunteer opportunities include assisting Mary Mac with setting up The Well's mobile Kinship Free Markets, assisting with food distribution, and packing/cleaning up once the market ends. Join WellBuilt City and us in distributing food to those who need it at Mort Park every Wednesday starting at 2 PM! IMPORTANT: on top of this, sign up at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0d4eadaa2ba2fec70-harvest#/ (signing up for this on bullsconnect will automatically redirect here). - Meet at Mort Park to help stock shelves and hand out food to clients that come in every Wednesday at 2 PM-4PM - Address is 1815 E 148th Ave, Lutz, FL 33549, about a five-minute drive away from USF - Please wear closed-toed shoes and dress for the weather - IF there is enough donations, volunteers are always welcome to take some fruit or some bread home :) The person who is in charge of this event and the charity as a whole is Mary McKenzie who can be contacted at 8137073628 with any questions you may have about this event.
