Founding of Pre-Health Training Society at USF
PTS was born from a group of USF pre-med students with a goal to host workshops with local medical professionals that teach specific skills (ex. suturing, triage, etc.) or guide students through specific case studies or clinical scenarios. The aim was to deepen pre-med students' understanding of their potential careers and introduce them to foundational training for their future.

Case Study: Shortness of Breath Workshop
Dr. Allan Goldman, M.D is the former chair of Internal Medicine at USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. He has over 50 years of experience, and will be hosting this month's workshop presenting a case study on shortness of breath.

Learn about common issues in breast cancer from Dr. Abigail Beard, a general surgery specialist and professor of breast surgery at USF Morsani College of Medicine.

World Tuberculosis Day
Join us to learn more about how co-morbidities influence TB in specific countries around the world and work collaboratively in teams to develop targeted initiatives. As an attendee, you'll have the chance to join long-term committees set up by UNA-USA to implement those very initiatives. Additionally, connect with the largest organizations at USF that are at the forefront of service and the pre-med experience.

Suture Workshop
In partnership with Morsani Health Educator Mr. Larry Collins, participants will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with official suturing kits. Mr. Larry Collins is the Associate Program Director of USF's Physician Assistant Program and an Associate Professor in Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.

Dr. Richard Lockey, M.D. is the professor at the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and was the former President of the World Allergy Organization. He will be hosting a discussion based workshop on clinical research, lifelong learning, and continuing education as a physician.
