General Body Meetings are hosted multiple times throughout the semester on campus. GBMs provide us the opportunity to share about fun upcoming events with you and learn more about Japanese language and culture. We always have something fun and engaging for those who visit, so we look forward to seeing everyone who comes out!

Senpai / Kouhai is our Japanese version of a big / little reveal. It is one of our special GBM events that is hosted every spring and fall semester, where we pair upperclassmen and lowerclassmen students of similar interests together to bond and connect with one another.

JCC collaborates with other clubs and organizations on a special event or GBM to share aspects of Japanese culture while introducing students to learning and trying new things from a different culture also. This is a great way for the club itself, members, and one's outside it to connect with others, support, and experience different or new perspectives.

JCC occasionally hosts or participates in socials with other organizations and members of the club. Everyone is welcomed to join and these are usually a good way for everyone to bond and connect with one another more. These social events are mostly off-campus involving going out to eat or doing an activity together somewhere like getting ramen, boba, going ice skating, and more!

Undokai is an annual event held with all different types of schools around Japan. It is akin to a sports day where students participate in a variety of events such as relay races, tug of war, dance performances, and more. JCC participates in this annual event with other schools in Florida that host this like UF and more. We plan to bring down this tradition to USF in the future upcoming spring and fall events, where anyone or all is welcomed to participate!

Haru Matsuri is an annual Japanese Spring Festival held on the first weekend of March every year, where many come out to celebrate new beginnings and see the bloomed cherry blossom trees. Every year, JCC hosts our own spring festival on campus also, which is one of our biggest semester events where we celebrate the coming of spring to Japan. JCC's Haru Matsuri is a free event that is welcomed to all to come out and have fun. This event lets you learn about different cultures and clubs, enjoy the games around the other org tablings that we have, listen to music, see performances, get prizes, raffles, food, and more!

Night in Japan is one of our biggest annual formal banquet events of the year, which is hosted indoors in the MSC ballroom during the fall term. We host this event to share Japanese traditions with others and celebrate JCC's annual birthday (similar to a founders day). This event is open to everyone to be able to come out and experience all the performances, Japanese food, culture, and traditions live. This is a free event with raffles for prizes and more for everyone to attend. We can't wait for you to see what we have in store!

JCC hosts fundraisers on campus or near campus locations to promote club awareness, raise money to host amazing events and give back to our members. This gives us a chance to help others connect and also give others a chance to experience or taste Japanese foods, culture, and interests through our fundraisers!
