Who We Are

Our mission is to cultivate a dynamic and supportive community for the Senior Scholars of the University of South Florida. We are dedicated to empowering lifelong learners to participate actively, purposefully, and meaningfully in all aspects of campus life—academically, socially, and culturally.

We advocate for the full implementation of USF’s commitment as an Age-Friendly University, ensuring that the needs, voices, and contributions of older adults are recognized and valued. Through collaboration with university leadership, faculty, and staff, we strive to integrate senior-focused perspectives into the broader academic and administrative framework of USF.

By championing inclusivity, fostering intergenerational engagement, and promoting intellectual curiosity at every stage of life, we seek to enrich both the experiences of Senior Scholars and the campus community as a whole.

We support seniors in:

• Auditing USF undergraduate/graduate courses free of charge

• Navigating campus systems and resources

• Joining intergenerational learning communities

• Participating in USF research

• Taking OLLI enrichment courses ($50/year + price per class varies)

• Making a philanthropic impact through the USF Foundation
