Stampede of Service: Volunteer at UACDC's Garden (2 hrs. of Service)

Join The CLCE Staff for this Stampede of Service event as we dive into the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger. Students will support University Area Community Development Corporation (UACDC), a local non-profit focused on the redevelopment and sustainability of the at-risk areas surrounding the Tampa campus of the University of South Florida. Those who register for this hands-on experience will assist in UACDC's Friday at the Park by volunteering in their community garden.

Make sure to arrive no later than 9:00 am to start your service. You will be meeting the event facilitators at the building at the front of the park, next to the parking lot. This is an outdoor event, and should be taken into consideration when choosing what to wear. Don't forget to bring water, and consider a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen as well.

Through teamwork and meaningful service, participants will connect their passions to global goals, gain insight into local inequities, and help “Mo-Bull-ize” efforts toward building a more equitable community.

We encourage you to wear any USF green and gold apparel you have. If you would like to pick up a CLCE "Create Positive Change" shirt make sure to swing by our office (MSC 3302), and show a staff member that you are registered for the upcoming service event to receive a shirt.
