Details
You are signing up to participate with Feeding Tampa Bay's Trinity Cafe, a free, full-service restaurant for those in need of a healthy meal, on Saturday, January 17th. This is one of many food distribution locations Feeding Tampa Bay operates 365 days a year. For this event there are a few things to keep in mind. Please read ALL event details to ensure you are prepared for this event.
Location Details:
Address: 2801 N Nebraska Ave, Tampa, FL 33602
Parking: You can Park in their main parking lot if there is space. If not, park in the back of the O'Reilly Auto Parts across the street.
Pre-Service details:
Please dress accordingly. This service event will be taking place inside for about 2 hours. Closed-toe shoes are required. Recommended attire includes shirts with sleeves (no tank-tops), and jeans or shorts of appropriate length.
If you require transportation, please meet in the Marshall Student Center Atrium (MSC) at 7:45am. Transportation to the service location will leave the MSC at 8:00am. There will only be one trip to and from the service location, so if you need transportation, make sure to be on time.
Service Event Details:
If you plan on driving yourself, please plan to arrive at or before 8:30am, to ensure a smooth check-in.
You will be provided a S.O.S. T-shirt before the service event. To help us best allocate our T-shirts, and to ensure you get the correct T-shirt size, please complete the T-Shirt form that will be sent to you in a follow-up email prior to the service date.
USF Students will be assisting in the service aspect of the guest’s experiences, as volunteers will be tasked with greeting “Neighbors” at the door, seating them, serving them their food, and at times chatting with them. Other volunteers will be tasked with less forward-facing tasks such as cleaning the kitchen, and busing tables.
After volunteering, transportation will leave the service location at 10:30am and arrive back at the MSC at 11am. Once back at the MSC, volunteers will have the option to stay and have lunch with other volunteers.
Volunteers who chose to drive themselves to the service site will also have the option to join the other volunteers for lunch back at the MSC after the service.
Thank you for taking the time to read this email, as it is a lot of information. Remember to fill out our T-Shirt Form. Your contribution to the Tampa Community is greatly appreciated by the CLCE, USF, and our community partners around Tampa Bay. Please feel free to email bryanstark@usf.edu with any questions you may have. We look forward to seeing you on January 17th! Happy start to the Spring Semester, and as always, GO BULLS!
