SWE Tea w/ Mocktails

Our annual SWE Tea is a panel-style collabortive discussion between USF students and professionals, many of which are also USF alumni! This year, SWE Tea takes on a twist as a joint event that includes a mini career-fair, allowing USF students to further network with these professionals! Here, they can discuss and learn about opportunities from a handful of companies, such as Honeywell, Mosiac, GE Aerospace, and Tampa Bay SWE. Serving as a fundraising opportunity for USF SWE, all professionals are given a platform to highlight their company's mission and values and promote their goals to all USF attendees. Every USF student interested is encouraged to attend for any amount of time and expand their horizons to the opportunities presented at SWE Tea!

National SWE

Celebrate Women's History Month with SWE

Supporting women has always been SWE's #1 goal, expanding far past the professional realm. Providing women a platform to speak on global and personal issues paves the way for societal change, and encourages the equal treatment of women everywhere. Since the Society of Women Engineers was founded 75 years ago, several women in engineering have dedicated themselves to propelling women's rights, especially in the workforce. A number of these women have also aided in growing SWE to what it is today. Without these individuals, along with hundreds of others throughout history and throughout not only the nation, but the world, thousands of women have made their voices heard, and continue to fight for equal opportunity every day. Take a look at the list National SWE has curated to highlight several of these individuals, along with their ground-breaking efforts.

Diverse: A SWE Podcast

Diverse is a podcast hosted by the Society of Women Engineers aimed at providing a platform to women in the professional STEM field. Here, leaders dicuss their upbringings, projects, future goals, work/life balance, and everything inbetween to share their story and expand the horizons of those listening to the world of engineering!

Engineering Expo '25

On February 18th- March 1st, USF SWE's Engineering Expo lead, Jennifer Cordovez, hosted the Society of Women Engineers booth at the annual USF Engingeering Expo. This event is aimed to introduce students of all ages K-12 to the world of STEM and provide them an opportunity to experience several demonstrations of several engineering disciplines. At SWE's booth, Jennifer's Expo Committee presented demonstrations on Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Data Science. With activities such as paper airplane making, making circuits using Playdoh, and Ferrofluid, students across the Tampa Bay area were witness to several amazing scientific concepts and principles integral to engineering fields!
