Being Authentic in the Workplace with EY
On Thursday, October 3rd, we partnered with EY to discuss what it means to be authentic in the workplace. Below are some key takeaways from the meeting:
- Being authentic means showing up as yourself, especially in the small details.
- When balancing your authenticity with the corporate environment, it's important to set boundaries early on—your non-negotiables—but also remain flexible in your journey.
- Align yourself with people who will speak positively about you, even when you're not in the room.
- What makes you authentic can be what sets you apart and helps you advance in your career, but it's your responsibility to present it effectively.
- Understand the corporate culture and the "rules of the game" to navigate successfully while staying true to yourself.
