About Us

The Sociology ISS Club serves several purposes for the Department of Sociology and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences as well as the greater University and Tampa Bay community. This organization is a place where students who have taken an interest in sociology and interdisciplinary studies can put into action what they learn in their academic coursework. Coursework which encourages students to think critically and analytically about social problems related to inequality, poverty, global warming, globalization, to name a few can have another forum for students to learn more about these topics as well as find a way to make a difference in local and global communities.

Members Benefits

Making friends is a part of the fun in our club, but serving our community makes this even better. You will have the opportunity to get into the spirit of Bull Pride as we work with partners that may be affiliated with USF. With full intention to make a sociological impact both on and off-campus! You make your own community here as we create valuable networking connections amongst the Tampa Bay area along with potentials for leadership advancement, skill-building activities for real-life purposes such as resume building, and more! From serving our community to creating one, the Sociology and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences club seeks to empower members with skills to transform their own lives and that of others, one member at a time.
