The mission of Sigma Tau Delta is to honor the achievement of our students in their literary journey, whilst promoting interest in reading, writing, performance, and literature within the campus, community, and ourselves. We strive to provide our students with opportunities to share their enjoyment with others and to help the community thrive.
All students regardless of major are welcome to join the English club under our chapter of Sigma Tau Delta. But students who wish to go the extra step in applying to the honor society are open to many benefits like: awards and scholarships, access to annual conventions, a network of students, faculty, and authors, publication, internships, and more. Students who apply for honor society membership must be currently enrolled, have completed at least two English courses at USF (one at the 2000 level or above and one at the 3000 level or above), have an English GPA of 3.0 or higher, and have an Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
