The Uptown Community Health Fair will provide free health screenings and wellness information, community resources and services, employment opportunities, family-friendly activities, giveaways, free prescription eyeglasses for children, and free turkeys for families while supplies last. Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with local healthcare providers, nonprofit organizations, and other community partners.
Students participating in this Stampede of Service will support the health fair and its efforts to connect community members with valuable health, wellness, and social resources. Through hands-on service and community engagement, participants will gain a better understanding of how access to resources and community partnerships can contribute to healthier and more equitable communities.
The event will take place at Harvest Hope Park from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM. Pre-Event Set-up will begin at 8:00 am. Please arrive on time and be prepared to participate throughout the service experience. Since portions of the event may take place outdoors, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes and bringing water, sunscreen, sunglasses, and/or a hat.
We encourage you to wear any USF green and gold apparel you have. If you would like to pick up a CLCE “Create Positive Change” shirt, make sure to swing by our office (MSC 3302) and show a staff member that you are registered for the upcoming service event to receive a shirt.
If you have any questions about this event, you can reach out to UACDC's Community Engagement & Outreach Manager Julian Gines (jgines@uacdc.org | 813-558-5212 x 401) for more information.
