This theme encourages us to think critically about the ways qualitative inquiry shapes, and is shaped by, our social, cultural, and ethical commitments. We ask: How might we engage in research that is responsive to communities, attuned to context, and reflective of multiple ways of knowing? What possibilities arise when we embrace creativity, collaboration, and reflexivity as central to our
methodologies?
We welcome proposals that highlight innovation, inclusivity, and imagination in qualitative research across disciplines as we collectively wonder what it means to inquire, represent, and act with purpose.
The 9th Interdisciplinary Symposium on Qualitative Methodologies will be held on Friday, April 24th (virtual) and Saturday, April 25th (in-person) at the University of South Florida (Tampa, FL). In this two-day hybrid symposium, we welcome all types of qualitative research approaches, and we are open to ongoing or completed empirical, theoretical or arts-based research. We encourage submissions from a wide range of qualitative research representing Anthropology, Business, Communications, Education, Health, Linguistics, Public Health, Sociology, Women's and Gender Studies, among others. Potential presentations may or may not align with the conference theme "Reimagining Qualitative Inquiry: Voices, Visions, and Values," but should employ qualitative research methods.
