Dr. deChant will trace the evolution of the Global Industrial Food System, examining its roots, rise, and its continuing influence in its first and most significant colony—the United States. The presentation will also explore how local institutions, economic structures, cultural attitudes, and grassroots efforts intersect with this system, highlighting the persistent challenges faced by those who resist its reach.

Join us for a critical and thought-provoking discussion on the urgent need to rethink our food systems in pursuit of a more just and sustainable future.

🍕 Pizza will be provided, so bring your appetite and get ready for a great session!
