In the RARE lab at the University of South Florida (USF), we are conducting a research study designed to facilitate robots working both collaboratively and safely with humans.

If you take part in this study, you will work alongside an autonomous robot arm to simulate picking and packing medicine bottles. This will help advance research efforts for humans and robots to work together and make the right choices.

Humans and robots think a little differently – and they communicate differently, too. Robots aren’t experts at interpreting human body language, and humans aren’t experts at judging what a robot intends to do next in the absence of body language.

You can help test new innovations in technology to help bridge this gap for robots of the future!

The study is expected to take up to 30 minutes. The location will be at NEC (Northwest Education Complex), room 118, 3220 USF Banyan Circle, Tampa, FL. You must be 18 years or older to be eligible. Nonstudents are also welcome. We will compensate participants with a $3 e-gift card after completing half of the trial conditions, and $3 e-gift card after completing the whole study.
