Florida MedConnect General Body Meeting #1

Join us for Florida MedConnect’s first General Body Meeting of the semester on Wednesday, September 3rd from 5:00–6:30 PM in MSC 2709.

At this meeting, students will be introduced to Florida MedConnect (FMC) and the Health Literacy Initiative (HLI), and learn about opportunities in research, mentorship, and community engagement.

In addition to these program overviews, attendees will gain access to exclusive opportunities available only at this meeting:

- Publishing Opportunity: Students who bring a resume/CV will be automatically entered for one of ten spots to co-author and publish a paper alongside a USF professor in an academic journal.

- Exclusive Volunteering Event: Attendees will also unlock a special HLI-led volunteering event, designed to promote health literacy and outreach in the Tampa Bay community.

- Health Zine Workshop: Participants will create health zines — short, illustrated booklets on health topics — which will be donated directly to RAMWI and Radiant Hands to support immigrant and refugee communities.
