Come join us in a discussion on a new and controversial topic that is supported by the incoming President. Free Chick Fil-A will be provided to attendees.

Since the Department of Education’s founding in 1979, many have called for its abolition. The first President to raise this argument was Reagan, and it has carried on to Trump. This side believes it causes unnecessary inefficiency and is a case of Federal overreach in an issue better left to local and state control. The other side argues it ensures national standards and accountability, promoting educational equity and social wellness.

The panelists, Damaris Allen and Jamie Miller, represent two sides of this arising debate. Damaris Allen is the Executive Director for “Families for Strong Public Schools”, a local organization aimed to unify parents in the support for a strong public school agenda. Jamie Miller is a renowned writer and conservative commentator who is the author of the well-known “Reasonable Arguments” Substack.
