The Campus Quest: Resource Scavenger Hunt

Join Us for the Kickoff of the Month-Long Scavenger Hunt! 

We’re excited to announce the launch of a month-long scavenger hunt in partnership with other on-campus departments! This is a great way to explore and discover various resources on campus! The adventure begins on January 16th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a fun-filled kickoff event hosted by the Student Veterans Association (SVA). Here's everything you need to know: 

Event Details: 

• When: January 16th, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM 
• Where: OVS Office ALN 241 
• Host: SVA (Student Veterans Association) 

Kickoff Celebration: 

• Movie Night: We’ll kick off the hunt with a Harry Potter movie showing at the OVS office. Whether you’re a Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw, it's the perfect way to start the scavenger hunt journey. 
• Food & Games: Not into the movie? No problem! There will be plenty of food and games for everyone to enjoy while you relax and hang out. 
• Early Clue: Attendees will receive a special hint for Friday’s clue—a sneak peek into the next part of the scavenger hunt! 

How the Scavenger Hunt Works: 

• Passport Pickup: Stop by the Office of Veteran Success to pick up a passport that you will use as you begin this quest.  
• Book-Themed Clues: Throughout the month, the scavenger hunt clues will all be book-themed, starting with the magical world of Harry Potter during the first week. 
• Campus Resources: As you solve the clues, you’ll discover different campus resources and have the chance to learn about valuable services available to you. 
• Stay Engaged: Every week will feature new themes and clues, so be sure to join in and continue the adventure! 

How to Participate: 

1. Join the Kickoff Event on January 16th to get started—whether you're watching the movie, playing games, or enjoying the food and fun. 
2. Follow the Clues each week to explore campus and learn about helpful resources by visiting each department and getting your passport filled out.  
3. Complete your Passport to turn into the Office of Veteran Success (ALN 241) for a game of chance scheduled for February 7th, 2025.  
4. Have Fun! It’s all about enjoying the journey, connecting with your campus, and discovering new things. 

This month-long scavenger hunt is a great way to kick off the new year, meet new people, and explore all that your campus has to offer.
