Academic publishing represents the formal process through which researchers share their scholarly findings with the broader academic community via peer-reviewed journals, books, and conference proceedings.
This event will guide graduate students and early-career researchers through the fundamental elements of successful academic publishing. The speakers will share valuable insights on manuscript preparation, strategic journal selection, and effective navigation of the peer review process.

Dr. Ross DuBose's profile photo

Dr. Ross DuBose

Dr. Ross DuBose leads the office of research on the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee campus. He earned a BS in Chemistry from the University of  Florida and a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where his research topic was the intracellular trafficking of P2Y receptors. Before joining USF, he spent a decade at Research Square, a company that provides researchers and journals with publication-related services. He now leverages these skills to help researchers elevate funding proposals and expand the research enterprise at USF.
