Day at the Capitol 2025

Get an exclusive learning experience with USF Student Government by joining us at the Florida Capitol in Tallahassee! Here you will get the chance to chat with Capitol personnel, including government officials, while representing the green and gold.

Day at The Capitol consists of tours of the Florida Capitol which include the Senate Chamber, House Chamber and The Supreme court of Florida, panel discussions on important and relevant topics of interest for the state of Florida, and a lunch and reception filled with distinguished guests for an opportunity to have one on one conversations that you would find difficult to have other than at this event.

This event is a great opportunity for students to expand their knowledge of government and to explore different aspects of this field which can offer jobs for their futures. The goal of the event is for our attendees to enjoy a once in a lifetime opportunity while expanding their knowledge, networking with state leaders, while showcasing the greatness of USF!

All attendees must attend a training session & will sign up for their date during their registration.

Training sessions are scheduled for:
• Monday, January 13th, 10am-11am and 1pm-2pm
• Tuesday, January 14th, 2pm - 3pm and 5pm - 6pm

The Tampa campus will take buses that leave campus at 5:30am (tentative) on Tuesday, January 21 and will return late that night.

The Sarasota-Manatee and St. Petersburg campuses will leave campus at 5:30am (tentative) on Tuesday, January 21 and return later.

You should RSVP for your home campus, as you will travel with the campus that you choose in your RSVP.
