Join your local elected officials to discuss the election and the effect of polarization on politics! Free Chick-fil-A will be given out during the event!

Guest speakers include: Florida House Democratic Leader Fentrice Driskell, Florida Senator Darryl Rouson, Florida Representative Karen Gonzalez-Pittman.

During this election cycle, experts agree that political violence and polarization has been on the uptick. From the assassinations attempts on former President Donald Trump to the break-in on Nancy Pelosi’s home, they have affected not only our nation’s politics, but the conversations we have at home. Pew Research polled Americans, finding both parties believed the other party, by more than 60%, is more dishonest, more immoral, and more close-minded. Is polarization having a negative impact on our community, and what can we do, as students and/or citizens, to solve it?
