The Student Interest Group in Ophthalmology will be hosting a discussion with Dr. Suzanne Sherman, O.D. about the interface between optometry and ophthalmology. Dr. Sherman is an optometrist in practice at the USF Eye Institute and holds the position of Associate Professor of Optometry and Ophthalmology. Dr. Sherman is an alumnus of the University of Michigan (BA 2009), the State University of New York College of Optometry (O.D. 2013), and the Bronx Lebanon Hospital of the Albert Einstein School of Medicine (primary care and ocular disease residency 2014). Dr. Sherman specializes in complex contact lens fittings, anterior segment disease, and primary care. Before returning to her hometown of Tampa, Dr. Sherman was the Director of the Optometric Service and an Assistant Professor at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City.
