Join us for our first trip of the year at Poynter Park! This will be a great opportunity for anglers of all skill levels to come together, practice our skills and hopefully catch some fish! We will be teaching ethical fishing practices and abiding by all rules and regulations of the law.

BEGINNERS ARE WELCOME & gear is provided for those who need it!

Also please note the park does close at sunset, so please plan accordingly!

!!BEFORE YOU COME - Please make sure you have a valid Florida fishing license. These can be obtained from gooutdoorsflorida.com, your local tax collector, wal-mart, or sporting goods store. We will accept a print out, card, or screenshot as proof.

!!ALSO - Please make sure you have joined the sport club federation on Bulls Connect here https://bullsconnect.usf.edu/SCF/ and fill out the "Sport Club Participation Waiver Form" under resources - surveys and forms.

Wondering what to bring on a fishing trip... Here's a list of things you might need!
-Water and snacks
-Sunscreen/Protective Clothing
-Sunglasses
-Hat
-Money for state park entrance fees, tolls, or parking.
-Pliers (If you have) and/or Line cutters (Nail clippers work great! If fishing by yourself, you always want to make sure you have something to cut the line and assist with hook removal!)
