About Us
P.R.I.D.E. stands for People Respecting Individual Diversity and Equality. We are a LGBTQAA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Asexual, Allied and Plus) based organization here at USF. Started in 1974, we are the oldest continuously funded gay student organization in the state of Florida. Our mission is to help build up the LGBTQA community at the University of South Florida and surrounding Tampa area by educating, advocating , and providing a safe space for all LGBTQ and Allied individuals. P.R.I.D.E Alliance is also an official member of the University of South Florida's Multicultural Community through the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
