Welcome Back!
Hello everyone,
My name is Ashley and I am your temporary president for the Irish Culture and Language Club. Some of you may remember me from pre-Covid shut down in 2019-2020, but in case you don't, I am a Master's student with the History department and I will be graduating at the end of this semester. I hope you all have enjoyed your Summer break and I look forward to meeting with you all. My graduation at the end of this semester means that we will be holding official elections in December, so if you are planning on running be prepared to give intent to run. However, we first need to place a few temporary officer positions before BullsConnect will let me officially open the club. If you are intersted in taking a temporary position please shoot me an email at ashleywessel@usf.edu with the position you are intersted in and why you feel you are qualified for and interested in the position. In order to be an officer with USF Clubs, you must be a current student enrolled for the semester.
Postions available:
Vice President
Treasurer
Secretary
Officer (to act as back up in case another officer needs to resign)
While events have been hard for us to schedule during the era of Covid, we are looking forward to potentially planning some events and I will be reaching out to all of you to see what you would be interested in doing with the club, but first we need to get the above mentioned positions filled.
I look forward to spending the Fall semester with all of you. If any of you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out to me. Until then I leave you with this Gaelic proverb:
"Ní neart go cur le chéile."
Nee nyart guh cur leh ch (k)ay-leh
"There's strength in unity."
