About Us

The purpose and goals of DASA is to spread awareness surrounding the Dominican experience and culture. In addition, the organization serves as a venue to unify Dominican students and students of other cultures. The goals of this organization are as follows: A. Sponsor informative and social events that will aid in addressing issues concerning Dominicans and other Latinos. Said events shall be open to the entire USF and Tampa Bay Community. B. Concentrate its efforts on recruitment and retention of Dominican students by developing academic and personal support networks for undergraduate students and establishing networks with professionals and alumni. C. Strive to serve Dominican communities worldwide. D. Obtain historical and updated information about Dominican Republic in order to serve as a resource of information for the USF community on Dominican affairs.
