What does our name mean?

“Black-ish in Public Health is a play off of the popular show Black-ish, however, it also has a deeper meaning. The concept behind our name is that public health issues in black and brown communities require the support and attention from all people not just black and brown individuals. So, the ish in black-ish encompasses those who may not identify as black or brown, but still care about and want to work towards resolutions for public health problems in black and brown communities (underrepresented communities)”
