Join us for an engaging talk with Jonathan Bethard, a forensic anthropologist, as he explores the vital role of forensic anthropology in medicine, human identification, and social justice. In this lecture, Dr. Bethard will discuss how skeletal analysis helps uncover identity, tell stories of life and death, and contribute to both medicolegal investigations and humanitarian efforts. Learn how forensic anthropology intersects with medicine and why understanding identity, ancestry, and representation matters in scientific practice.

In collaboration with Minorities in Medicine and the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) chapter, there will also be an opportunity to participate in a quick cheek swab to join the Bone Marrow Donation Registry and potentially help save a life.

Whether you’re interested in healthcare, forensics, or anthropology, this is a lecture you won’t want to miss!
