Women in Business is excited to host the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Organization for Women in International Trade (TBOWIT) for an engaging panel focused on learning, connection, and career exploration on a global scale.

During this event, representatives from TBOWIT will share an overview of the organization, discuss their mission and impact, and offer insight into involvement and professional opportunities as they narrate their professional journeys. Come learn from our outstanding panelists:

Jennie Sammur – President of TBOWIT & CEO of TP & JS Enterprises: A multicultural leader with a global perspective, Jennie Sammur is an expert in international trade, real estate, and community engagement. With over 17 years in the industry, Jennie manages her own real estate brokerage and a boutique consulting firm specializing in FDI and strategic business initiatives. Based in Florida, she combines her deep roots in Tampa Bay with a Master’s in Urban Planning to help local companies expand their global footprint.

Samantha Tallyn, CPA – Founder of Avocet Accounting: Samantha is a licensed CPA and the Owner/President of Avocet International CPAs. With a career spanning 21 years across banking and public accounting, she holds a Master’s in Accounting from St. Leo University. A resident of St. Petersburg for over 12 years, Samantha provides expert financial guidance to a diverse portfolio of business clients.

Devon Barnett – TBOWIT Advisory Council & Former President: Devon is an experienced business development professional who has spent 20 years recruiting businesses, airlines, and tourism to Tampa Bay. Her career includes leadership roles at Tampa International Airport and the Pasco EDC. A former President of TBOWIT and an FSU graduate, she is also an alumna of Leadership Pasco and the Florida TaxWatch Citizenship Institute.
