The St. Petersburg Science Festival is an annual regional celebration where families and the public can explore the wonders of hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). The Festival is located each year at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg campus and Poytner Park – along the waterfront. It is held in conjunction with MarineQuest, the open house of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Fish and Wildlife Research Institute.

Volunteers are needed for the School Day on Fri. Feb. 6th where local elementary-middle school students take a field trip to the festival and on the Public Day on Sat. Feb. 7th that's free and open to the public.

Each year we have many opportunities for volunteers to share their time, energy, and talents as we connect the community with the wonders of STEAM. All shifts are 3 hours. All volunteers receive a Science Festival t-shirt. Volunteers are free to sign up for as many days/shifts as you are willing to work.
