Engage with alumni, community partners/employers, USF advisors and faculty, and other USF resources to discover your path to purpose.

The Majors Expo 2022 will be held in-person in the Marshall Center on the Tampa campus on Tuesday, October 4th, 2022, from 9am-4pm. Students can attend any time throughout the day. However, the first 100 to sign in will receive a swag pack from student government and enter to win a $50 gift card.

The event will feature rotating panel presentations every hour starting at 9am. These presentations will correspond with the United Nation Sustainability Goals. This will help USF students connect their choice of major to their ability to impact the communities around them.

9am Good Health and Well Being: Moffitt Cancer Center, USF Counseling Center, Metro Inclusive Health, USF SWELL.

10am Sustainable Cities & Communities: FL Department of Environmental Protection, Habitat for Humanity, Metropolitan Ministries, and Tampa Housing Authority.

11am Quality Education: New Tampa Players, Scouts of America, TRIBE, and USF Animation Faculty Dr. McArthur Freeman.

Noon: No panels as break for lunch, but still open table expo

1pm Gender Equality: The Spring of Tampa Bay, Equality Florida, USF Victim Advocacy, and USF WGS Faculty Dr. Tangela Serls.

2pm Zero Hunger: Feeding Tampa Bay, The Well, Meals on Wheels, USF Center for the Advancement of Food Security and Healthy Communities.

3pm Decent Work and Economic Growth: Centre for Women, USF Center for Entrepreneurship, Aging Studies, and Dr. Alexis Mootoo on forced labor and working conditions.

The event will also feature an open meet and greet where students can freely and casually interact with select advisors, older students, student clubs, USF resources, and employers to understand better the opportunities available to help them choose a major and career. This portion goes all day from 9am-4pm.

At the open table will be all the panelists, so you can get to know them better, as well as the likes of the Office of Graduate Studies, Education Abroad, Office of High Impact Practices and Undergraduate Research, Feed-A-Bull, the Center for Entrepreneurship, GLOBE Sustainability club, the College of Nursing, nonprofit organizations like Easterseals, Student Goverment, Applied Behavioral Analysis, Pre-Law clubs, The Colleges of Arts and Sciences, Office of Multi-Cultural Affairs, and many other student clubs based on majors and careers.

Students who should attend are those exploring initial majors, those being removed from their current major, those identifying connections between their major and potential careers, and those who are ready to get more involved on campus and in the community.
