Tensegrity

Spring Dance Concert
A USF Dance Production

Thursday March 6th through Saturday March 8th at 7:30pm

Sunday March 9th at 3pm

USF Theatre 1

Tampa Campus

DanceUSF is excited to showcase our students’ talent and skill in this Spring Dance Concert. Investigating the question “what makes a good leader?,” DanceUSF faculty choreographers will present newly devised works performed by USF dance students in this fall production. Additionally, guest choreographers include James Morrow and British contemporary choreographer Ben Hartley (supported by the USF BRIT Program).

In this USF Spring Dance Concert, themes of leadership and the principle of tensegrity. a structural principle that uses a balance of compression and tension to create stability, will be explored through the physicality of the choreography. Access to these ideas and their dualities is open through the use of the body's movements as the communication tool instead of/in addition to oral communication.

Admission is FREE for the College of Design, Art + Performance's 2024-25 Event Season!

This is a pre-approved event for students pursuing the Global Citizen Award.

This event is a part of the 2024-25 USF Theatre & Dance STAN! Challenge!
