About Us

The Student Planning Organization at the University of South Florida is a student organization within the Urban and Regional Planning graduate program that focuses on growing our students, program, and community. This organization is open to all undergraduate and graduate students, regardless of major or department, as we also offer various opportunities for students to volunteer with the surrounding community and shape their civic engagement skills. For those within the community of urban planning, the SPO provides opportunities to foster civic and professional enrichment for community involvement and to cultivate relationships with local planning agencies and professional planning organizations. SPO also creates opportunities to generate pride and trust amongst those within the USF MURP program and with the surrounding community.
