Mission Peer Health Educators (PHE) is a student organization that is affiliated with REACHUP, Inc. in Tampa, FL, to educate and raise awareness to our peers about different topics related to preconception health surrounding the USF community and Hillsborough County for both women and men. Any student can attend our events and join our organization. Preconception health refers to the health of women and men during their reproductive years, which are the years they can have a child. It focuses on taking steps now to protect the health of a baby they might have some time in the future.Some of the topics we discuss in our organization are:- Infant mortality- Mental health- Domestic violence- Financial literacy- Mindfulness- Reproductive health- Environmental awareness- Men's & Women's healthThere are different ways members can participate and join PHE:- Monthly general body meetings centered around a specific theme- Monthly training to be more well-versed in the various topics discussed- Attending volunteer events hosted by community partners and USF Health
