About Us
As Salamu Alykum, (May Peace Be Upon You) The Muslim Students Association (MSA) at the University of South Florida is a student organization that is devoted to strengthening and uniting the Muslim community on campus through service, education, and social activities as well as to spreading awareness about the religion of Islam. We are not affiliated with any sect, madhab, or larger organization and welcome students of all faiths, ethnicities, and religious backgrounds. MSA holds events frequently that provide students to take part in social activities, while learning about the relgion of Islam. Some events that we host annually include: Fast-a-thon, Interfaith Dialogues, and Iron Chef. Additionally, we provide opportunities to students to increase knowledge of Islam through our weekly Qur'an class and our weekly Seerah (Life of the Propeht Muhammad) classs, thought by Shaykh Dr. Omar Hussaini. MSA also provides a room for Jumah Prayers during the Fall and Spring Semesters.
