Hi [FIRST_NAME],

Hi [FIRST_NAME],

Dear MPL members,

Minorities in Pre-Law is excited to share an amazing opportunity for undergraduate students interested in legal research and writing. Florida State University's Undergraduate Law Review (URL) is currently accepting external submissions for its upcoming publication, and this could be a great chance for you to get your law-related research published!

As USF does not currently offer an undergraduate law review, this is a rare opportunity for USF students to have their legal scholarship published and reviewed by a law-focused academic publication. FSU seeks papers that comprehensively analyze a legal topic and originality, provide a unique perspective and persuasiveness, and are well-supported and logically coherent. They welcome submissions in all areas of law.

Submission Requirements:
1. Cover Page including:
  • Title of Article
  • Full name of author
  • Degree and Major(s) and Minor(s)
  • Institutional Affiliation (your university)
2. Abstract:
  • Up to 250 words, summarizing your article and key claims.
3. Citations:
  • Adhereing to the Bluebook and FSU's Citation Style Guide.
All submissions must be in PDF or DOCX format, double-spaced, in 12-point Times New Roman font and submitted by October 10th, 2024.

Authors will work with ULR editors to revise and finalize their papers for publication if selected. If your paper is accepted, you can expect to be included in either the Fall issue (December) or the Spring issue (April), depending on the volume of submissions.

To submit, please use the following link:
External Submissions Form
Or email submissions to: ulr.fsu@gmail.com

If you have any questions, feel free to contact ULR at ulr.fsu@gmail.com

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your legal research experience and get published in a recognized undergraduate law review!

Best regards,
Tennisha Padmore
