Discover how modern applications are deployed using Docker and CI/CD pipelines, industry-standard technologies used across software engineering, IT, AI, and cybersecurity.
Caio Bahlis will introduce Docker, explain how containerization works, and highlight why millions of developers rely on it to build reliable and scalable systems. Through a live demonstration, you’ll see how real-world applications move from code to production deployment using Docker and a GitHub CI/CD pipeline. You do not need to repeat anything after the speaker or even bring your laptop unless you want to take notes!
Designed for students across CS, IT, AI, and Cybersecurity, and beyoned this event requires no prior experience and focuses on building understanding of tools and workflows commonly used in industry for internships and jobs. Caio will provide resources after the session of how you can learn Docker yourself at home, while his goal is to show why you need to learn Docker & CI/CD to be more attractive for internships and stand-out with your resume and at your interviews!
Speaker: Caio Bahlis is a junior Computer Science & Math student from Brazil! He is a Full-Stack Software Developer at Judy Genshaft Honors College IT & Machine Learning Intern at Moffitt Cancer Center!
