The purpose of HOSA is to improve the education and welfare of its members in several ways including: Ôùå Furthering the development of respect for education in health related careers in order to contribute to occupational competence, Ôùå Developing the leadership abilities of its members through a professional student organization program of motivation, awareness, competition and recognition, Ôùå Encouraging mental and physical health through participation in beneficial social activities to the members and people of the community, Ôùå Opens the door for members to explore different career possibilities through the experience of competitions leading to career choices.
