Join David Stollman and Sara Lowery for an engaging conversation designed for university staff, advisors, and campus partners. Together, we will explore why traditional hazing warnings often fall short and how a proactive Culture of Care can strengthen prevention efforts across chapters, clubs, teams, and other student communities.
Participants will learn how to:
Reframe new-member experiences from “proving worth” to fostering trust, belonging, and mutual support.
Apply three core principles for promoting psychological safety among student leaders and within organizations.
Equip students, staff, and advisors to recognize concerning behaviors, intervene effectively, and prevent situations from escalating.
Strengthen campus partnerships and shared accountability for hazing prevention.
This session will provide practical strategies for professionals committed to creating safer, more connected campus environments where everyone shares responsibility for student well-being.
