Meet Your E-Board Candidates and Understand Their Roles!

Hi [FIRST_NAME],

We are excited to announce that elections will take place in August! Below, you will find our current candidates, detailed descriptions of the responsibilities and expected time commitment associated with each E-board position. If a candidate runs unopposed, they will automatically secure the position. For those still considering a leadership role, there is still time to submit a flier and join our e-board. Please make sure to submit your flier by July 15th!
 

Meet the Candidates!

Vice President:

  • 3-6 hrs per month
  • Assists the President in overseeing the organization's activities and operations.
  • Acts as the President in their absence, ensuring continuity and smooth functioning.
  • Coordinates with other e-board members to implement plans and strategies.

Treasurer:

  • FO training: 4 hrs max, Purchase orders: 1 hr each, End of year budget: 2 hrs
  • Take Financial Officer training.
  • Fill out and submit purchase orders for each event.
  • Work with the event coordinator to complete purchase orders for events and activities.
  • Submit end-of-year budget plan for next year.

Secretary:

  • 3-5 hrs per month
  • Maintain accurate records of meetings, including minutes and attendance.
  • Manage the organization's correspondence, including emails and official documents.
  • Ensure that all members are informed of upcoming meetings, events, and important updates.
  • Keep an updated contact list of all members and industry partners.
  • Assist in the organization and maintenance of the organization's files and archives.

Social Media Chair:

  • 3-5 hrs per month
  • Manage the organization’s social media accounts and online presence.
  • Create and schedule content to engage members and attract new followers.
  • Promote events, activities, and initiatives through various social media platforms.
  • Monitor social media trends and adapt strategies to increase engagement.

Event Coordinator:

  • 3-4 hrs per month
  • Plan and organize events, activities, and programs for the organization with the help of the E-Board.
  • Develop and share event timelines, budgets, and logistical plans.
  • Coordinate with E-Board and partners to ensure successful events.
  • Promote events in collaboration with the social media chair.
  • Evaluate the success of events and provide feedback for future improvements.
