Licensed as an Architect (nationally certified & licensed in multiple states), Interior Designer, Project Management Professional, Accredited Professional for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEEDap bd+c) and holds an MBA.  Steve has personally managed projects (many of them award-winning) ranging from $5,000 to well over $500 million in construction cost and spanning almost every type of Project delivery scenario.  This experience has resulted in a broad business sense, an acute sensibility towards design and the ability to create a powerful synergy when working with a terrific team. His successes have been through a deep internal commitment to excellence, sensitivity to relationships, and a design philosophy that is centered on the users of the Project rather than the Project itself.

Focused primarily on servicing higher education clients with large, complex projects, Carrie enjoys crafting the user experience and solving design challenges at all scales. Marcel Maslowski, AIA, is the President and Director of Design at Fleischman|Garcia|Maslowski Architecture and an adjunct professor at the SPC Building Arts program. Originally from Martinique FWI, he attended SPC and USF where he earned his Master’s in Architecture. Marcel’s design approach focuses on creating a sense of place deeply grounded in phenomenology. His designs have won national recognitions. Some of his most recent notable projects include the Starkey Ranch Theatre Library Cultural Center, Tampa Heights Elementary School, New Tampa Performing Arts Center and the Hanna City Center.

Edmund Kwong is a Project Architect at Morphosis Architects with broad experience in the design and construction of a range of project types including academic, cultural, high-rise, and commercial buildings. Joining Morphosis in 2010, Edmund has played a leading role in some of the firm's most significant works including serving as Project Designer for the Emma and Georgina Bloomberg Center (completed 2017), the net-zero energy, LEED Platinum academic headquarters of CornellTech's new campus on Roosevelt Island. Edmund has also served on the project teams for Casablanca Finance City Tower, Bill & Melinda Gates Hall at Cornell University, the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, and as the Lead Designer for Clyde Frazier's Wine and Dine. Currently, Edmund is serving as Project Architect for the new Judy Genshaft Honors College at the University of South. Mr. Kwong received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Toronto and a Master of Architecture at MIT. He was awarded a Residency in the MAK Center Artists and Architects in Residence Program in 2010.

Mike P. McGrath currently serves as President of Operations for MG McGrath. Accrediting his father as his mentor, Mike began his career with MG McGrath sweeping warehouse floors at a young age, eventually growing with the family business as an Apprentice, a Journeyman, a Foreman, and then a Project Manager, before assuming his previous post as Vice President of Operations. During that time, Mike earned his Associate’s degree from the Minnesota School of Business and became a member of Sheet Metal Local 10.

As President of MG McGrath, Mike P. McGrath is responsible for all aspects of the business. With over 20 years of hands-on experience, he is a transformational leader whose deft understanding of architectural sheet metal applications and high-volume operations have helped grow and develop MG McGrath’s teams and technologies in order to be able to take on bigger and more architecturally complex projects than ever before. With projects in motion from New York to Los Angeles, and in-between, Mike works closely with architects, contractors and clients, armed with the company motto “bringing ideas to life.” Recent accomplishments include the award-winning Florida Polytechnic University Innovation, Science and Technology Building (FL), Pinnacle Bank Arena (NE), Mall of America Radisson Blu Hotel (MN), Mall of America Expansion Phase 1C (MN), Central Corridor and Light Rail Transit (MN), Mayo Clinic Square (MN), Facebook West Campus (CA), CHS Field (MN), Anytime Fitness Headquarters (MN), Speed Art Museum (KY), and the University of California, Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (CA). Erik Verboon is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Walter P Moore's New York office. Trained in both architecture and engineering, Erik brings deep global experience with a focus on the design of complex and high-performance building envelopes for a wide range of building types. Erik's role as Practice Area Leader of the firm's national Enclosure Engineering team is supported by his experience working with a wide variety of façade applications including high-performance, double-skin façades, geometrically complex composite façades, and custom unitized enclosures for both new buildings and existing building retrofits and additions.

Katherine Chan, who also goes by Kat, has extensive experience in a variety of sectors and both national and international work. She has demonstrated repeated success in aligning design intent with specific project performance requirements, including using bespoke systems and complex architectural geometry. A part of the AEC industry since 2012, Kat joined Walter P Moore in 2018 as a senior technical designer in the Enclosure Engineering practice in our New York office. Her focus on the design of building enclosures and specialty structures allows her to combine her interests in structures, architecture, and sustainability. Kat is passionate about the built environment and how design affects the way we experience the world around us. She strives to balance design intent with performance, keeping in sight community use and engagement, cost, and maintenance requirements.

She leads the Walter P Moore New York office’s engagement with Design Advocates, a collaborative for architects and designers to share resources and collaborate on efforts to serve the public good through pro bono projects, research, and advocacy.  An active committee member of the International Association of Bridge and Structural Engineers (IABSE), Kat participates in the development of panel discussions and content in general, as well as organizing and hosting the annual Future of Design Symposium. Additionally, she is an active member of the Society of Facade Engineers, an international organization backed by several multidisciplinary professional groups.

A member of Columbia University’s adjunct faculty for the GSAPP MArch program, her ongoing collaboration includes shifting the approach on materials to be more diverse and inclusive while maintaining technical rigor of the course work by including diverse, sustainable materials. Additionally, Kat has lectured at MIT and provided crits at the University of Pennsylvania, Pratt Institute, and CUNY New York City College of Technology.
