The USF x TGH Innovation Healthcare Pitch Competition is a chance for Florida college students to pitch a business idea in the healthcare industry and compete for thousands of dollars in prize money.

To enter, all you need is an idea for a healthcare-related product, service, or company — then build a short business pitch explaining the problem it solves, how the idea works, and how it could succeed. You’ll present your idea to a panel of judges who are experts from Tampa General Hospital and the healthcare innovation field.

Preparing a pitch is simpler than it sounds. Many students start by looking online for examples of basic business plans or pitch decks and answering common questions about their idea in a short PowerPoint presentation. The competition is designed to help you turn a simple idea into a real concept, get feedback from industry professionals, and potentially walk away with prize money — including a $5,000 first-place award.
