We are so excited to announce our University Lecture Series: Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month speaker: Julissa Calderon ­ƒñ® She is an Afro-Latinx actress, writer, and comedy producer/director from Miami. Julissa will be joining us on October 14 from 8-9PM @ the MSC Ballroom. Check-in will begin at 5:30PM and doors will open at 7:30PM. Students/Faculty and Staff need to RSVP to attend the lecture by visiting the link in our bioÔØù´©ÅÔØù´©ÅPre-registration is recommended to secure your seat.

Julissa is passionate about Afro-Latinx representation and challenging Latinx stereotypes. Some of her videos have been featured in numerous news outlets, including The Huffington Post and CNN Española. She also just wrapped a multi-city speaking engagement tour where she used her platform to share and celebrate her experience as a Latinx woman.
