Empowering Leaders: Purpose-Driven Leadership in Nonprofit Organizations

Program Description: This Lunchtime Leadership Series session features Mary Pat King, CAE, Chief Executive Officer of the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida. She will discuss the power of purpose-driven leadership, nonprofit strategy, and developing programs that build courage, confidence, and character in young people. Students will gain insight into leading mission-focused organizations, guiding teams through change, and fostering community impact.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session, students will be able to:
1. Describe core principles of purpose-driven leadership and how they guide effective nonprofit organizations.
2. Analyze strategies for empowering youth and communities through mission-aligned programming and partnerships.
3. Apply insights on leadership, communication, and strategic vision to their own roles in service, student organizations, or future careers.
